Joe Haldeman is SFWA Grand Master

A press release has gone out announcing the Joe Haldeman has been named SFWA’s Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master for 2010. There’s nothing on the SFWA web site yet, and of course we didn’t get the press release, but you can read it here.

SFWA is getting well ahead of itself. It has just announced the winner of next year’s Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award. The lucky writer is Harry Harrison. He is delighted, and so are we.

Grand Master Michael

SFWA has announced that Michael Moorcock is to become their latest Grand Master. The honor will be bestowed at the Nebula banquet in Austin at the end of April. Full press release here.
