Clarke Award Winner
April 29th, 2009 by Editors
The winner of this year’s Arthur C Clarke Award was announced this evening in London. The word on Twitter is that the award, and the £2009 cash prize, has been won by Ian R MacLeod for Song of Time (PS Publishing). No official confirmation yet.

Well, I was there and saw Macleod pick up the award and make a graceful acceptance speech…does that count as official?
Oh, I think we can take the word of the editor of Foundation as authoritative on issues related to British SF.
Thank you!
And SFcrowsnest.com – one of the three organisations supplying a judge for the awards – ran the news yesterday ten minutes after the award was granted – see story on Google News Search or direct at http://www.sfcrowsnest.com/news/arc/2009/nz13836.php
