Paul Melko Wins Compton Crook Award

A press release from the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, and an email from Michael Walsh arrive almost simultaneously. This year’s Compton Cook Award (for a first novel) has been won by Paul Melko for Singularity’s Ring. Melko wins a plaque, a $1,000 prize and a trip to Balticon to collect his winnings. The award ceremony will be on the evening of Friday May 22nd.
