Rhysling Award Winners
July 11th, 2009 by Editors
News from Readercon is that this year’s Rhysling Award winners (for science fiction poetry) are as follows:
- Long Poem: “Search” by Geoffrey A. Landis
- Short Poem: “Song for an Ancient City” by Amal El-Mohtar
As yet we have no official confirmation.
Update: Title of Amal El-Mohtar’s poem corrected.

As the editor who bought Geoff Landis’s poem for HELIX SF, I’d like to congratulate both winners, and Geoff in particular. His was one of the best I’d seen in 2.5 years of working on HELIX, and I’m proud to have published it, as are all the HELIX editors and staffers.
Way to go, hoss!
