Another Oscar Connection

We are all very happy for Shaun Tan, but another of this year’s Oscar winners has a close connection to the science fiction field. Dave Elsey, who with Rick Baker won Best Makeup (for their work on The Wolfman), is also an artist. He has recently designed a cover for the Sherlock Holmes anthology Gaslight Arcanum: Uncanny Tales Of Sherlock Holmes, edited by Charles Prepolec and J. R. Campbell and scheduled for release by EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing in the Fall of 2011. More information about Mr. Elsey and the book is available here.
