Betty Ballantine and Diana Wynne Jones received lifetime achievement awards, which were announced before the convention. Rapturous applause for Betty’s speech. Diana, sadly, is not well enough to travel, but she has sent Sharyn November with a long speech full of rousing Feminist messages.
