Science Fiction Awards Watch

The Premios Nocte Award is presented by the Terror Writers Spanish Association, which I’ll recklessly assume translates into the Spanish Horror Writers Association. (http://www.nocte.es/blog/)

As best I can tell, the Premios Nocte was also awarded at the 2011 Hispacon-Imagicon convention held near Valencia, Spain.

The 2011 winners are:

Best foreign book: El Circo de la Familia Pilo – Will Elliot. (The Pilo Family Circus)
Best Spanish story: El Hombre Revenido – Emilio Bueso. (The Limp Man)
Best Spanish book: Y Pese a Todo – Juan de Dios GarduÃo. (Despite Everything)
Honorary prize to Salto de PÃgina publishing company for editing: Aquelarre. Antología del Cuento de Terror Espanol Actual. (Coven. Current Spanish Terror Stories Anthology)
