Method
Modeled on the Tiptree, the Carl Brandon awards are selected by a jury who take recommendations from the public.
Eligibility
Two two awards have different eligibility criteria.
For the Parallax Award, nominees must provide a brief statement self-identifying as a person of color.
For the Kindred Award the work must deal with issues of race and ethnicity. Any author may be nominated.
